Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of the interactive demonstration learning model assisted by data-driven Student Worksheets (LKPD) in improving students’ quantitative literacy skills on measurement material. The research method used was a pre-experimental design with a one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects were 48 tenth-grade students at a senior high school in Bandung. The research instrument was a quantitative literacy test consisting of 18 items developed based on the indicators from the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U), which had been tested for validity, reliability, discrimination index, and difficulty level. The results showed that the average pretest score was 44.91 (medium category) and increased to 92.48 (very high category) on the posttest. The improvement in students’ quantitative literacy was indicated by an N-gain score of 0.86, which belonged to the high category. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test showed that the data were normally distributed, while the paired sample t-test yielded a p-value = 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between pretest and posttest results. Thus, it was concluded that the interactive demonstration learning model assisted by data-driven LKPD was effective in improving students’ quantitative literacy skills on measurement material
